Stainless steel is both practical and aesthetic. It's called “stainless” steel because it is highly resistant to corrosion and staining, or rust. That, along with it's low maintenance and beautiful lustrous appearance, make it an ideal material for modern furniture.

Aesthetically, the designers at Kenrick Stainless Designs view stainless steel as a “trans neutral” color. Subtle, bold, matte, and glossy colors play well against the gray of the metal and are enhanced by its reflective properties.

Value-wise, when total life cycle costs are considered, stainless steel is often the least expensive furniture material. It's also the greenest furniture you can buy because it is 100 percent recyclable. On average, stainless steel furniture is composed of about 60 percent recycled material of which approximately 40 percent originates from end-of-life products and some 60 percent comes from manufacturing processes.
